Raven Schwn-Noble is a self-taught photographer with a unique sense of viewing the world around her. Raven was 8 years old when she received her first camera, a Browne Box Camera..In her early 20's she traveled from Vermont to California and back, taking photos of our country's Natural Wonders, National Parks and life in small town USA...upon returning to Vermont, she entered a Burlington Free Press weekly photo contest and her reflection on Tioga Road, Yosemite California won the weekly contest..she was hooked on photography.
Never without a camera, Ravens works vary from photos of family and friends, to scenes in and around Vermont or wherever her travels take her..Her passions however, lie in the world of Nature.. Nature's reflections,wildlife, great and small and the amazing world of birds..their lives and habitats, their beauty in flight, up close..how many feathers create the birds we see each day??
Raven has won several awards for her photography. One a Kodak Kinsa Contest where her photograph was on display in Epcot/Disneyworld Florida for a year.
Locally Raven is well known and has won recognition in the yearly Grand Isle Art show, the Champlain Valley Fair, where the Governor presented her an award, for the photo Damselflies and Reeds, and the Kinship Art & Poetry show, by Sundog Poetry Ctr, Jeffersonville VT.
Her work has been on display in Barnes and Noble, Bryan Memorial Art Gallery, Jeffersonville, Vt, Arts Alive in Burlington and Manchester Center VT, Grand Isle Art Works, Maritime Museum, Vergennes VT, Helen Day Art Gallery, Stowe, VT, Missisquois National Wildlife Refuge, Swanton VT and Chaffee Art Gallery, Rutland VT.
