Barred Owlets~ People Watching
My first sighting of the owlets was late afternoon..the lighting was never going to be bright in the forest of trees. I set up the tripod, and used my Nikon 7200 body with an f4 300mm lens and 1.7 tele extender on it. Manually I set the ISO and aperture, took a couple of shots to evaluate the photos, raised the ISO to 1250, because of the darkened lighting. I then turned on Live view, manually adjusted the focus and enjoyed an hour of owlets at their best.. children came to see them, so I showed them the babies on live view.. the excitement in their faces is always Priceless..
